You hit the jackpot! You won yourself a promotional bag. Not one of those silly plastic ones that tear the first time you put something in them, oh no. Those nice cloth ones with the long, sturdy handles. Ooooo. Better hold onto that with both hands or someone’s going to help themselves to it. You think I’m kidding? The last pet expo I attended found me at home after words with two less promotional bags than I had shortly before I left.
America’s Fettish With Bags
What is it about bags? I can understand these days, people wanting to save anywhere they can. So of course you save the bags from groceries and whatnot. But even when I was a kid we had a couple of bags hanging in the utility room; one for paper, one for plastic. Now that I’m a much older, we have two bags hanging in the utility room. One for paper, one for plastic. But these days, you can go a step further, and it only costs the company being promoted anywhere from 71¢ to $1.20 each.
A Bag Of A Different Color
Promotional bags made from brightly colored linen not only offer stronger carrying capabilities and give you the option of the over the shoulder method, but some stores are actually giving discounts at the cash register, if you bring your own bags. There is a little grocery store in my area whose name shall remain anonymous, that has absolutely ridiculously low prices. One of the reasons being, they do not offer bags in which to carry your groceries out in. You must bring your own, or grab one of the empty product boxes from the shelves. We collect so many promotional bags that both of us have a supply of them in our trunks… Just in case.
Next time you really want to make someone’s day, give them one of the really nice promotional bags you have recently received. Watch their face.
